Meet our Sommelier
Certified Sommelier, Kate Miceli, oversees the University Club’s beverage program; curating an evolving wine list, food pairings, dessert menu, and leading the acclaimed Wine Society. Kate has also organized an active calendar of Wine Dinners featuring renowned producers and vineyards, wine tastings with access to select and rare wines, cellar building opportunities, educational programs and more.
Kate Miceli comes to her Beverage Manager role with a deep passion for creating distinguished food, beverage, and membership experiences. After graduating from Johnson and Wales University with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Nutrition, she continued to pursue opportunities that deepen her understanding of the culinary arts. In addition to accomplishing the WSET Level 3 Award in Wine by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, she also completed the Court of Master Sommeliers Level 2 program and became a Certified Sommelier in 2019.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys traveling and learning about food from various cultures. Following her passions, she has traveled across Portugal and Austria visiting vineyards and learning about wine production. As a native to the New York City suburbs, she adores the small city of Providence where she has resided for over fourteen years now!
